Training Day

Bruce's Viewpoint

Autumn is getting to be a very grown up little girl. Yesterday she put on big-girl underwear, and symbolically threw her diapers in the garbage. As expected, yesterday was a day on which she wore several different outfits. Today, however, she has been amazing. So far she has gone potty three times, including "number two." We are so proud of her! Angie is really hoping to avoid having two in diapers at the same time. Today Autumn has earned two new toys, and treats as well. You should have heard Jonny when Autumn went "number two." He is a very supportive big brother, and I think he is as excited as we are! Some have tried to talk Angie out of it for some reason and I think that made Angie even more determined. Regardless of that, I knew that Autumn was ready and that she could do it. I'm a proud Dad.

Angie's Viewpoint

I have to laugh because the few words that make this 7 1/2 month pregnant mom move fast are "I need to go potty". And even though potty training isn't that much fun there are definitely some good benefits. Autumn and I have had a lot of snuggle time and one on one time. She is a sweetheart. It is amazing how proud I am of her as she is getting it! But a little dose of reality too is that our little sweetheart can be a sassy little monkey when she doesn't get her way and those are the moments I am grateful my prayers for patience have been answered. One of the cutest things through these past couple days is how excited Jonny has been for Autumn. He is her biggest supporter and gives her the best reactions when she is successful. And though I don't know if it is appropriate to say, Autumn's little bum in princess underwear is the cutest little thing.

Jonny's Viewpoint

I am so proud of Autumn and I love her so much. I think she wants to be like me. For going potty she got a Dora phone and for going poo poo in the potty she got some smurfs and for Christmas she got a doll house. From, Jonny

You all train so early. Who's afraid of multiple diapers? Not me. I've got three of four in diapers!
