We took advantage of Bruce having the Monday off after the 4th of July to go to Payson Lakes to canoe and fish. It was so fun and ended with Jonathan catching his 1st fish! Very historic moment for a 5 year old. He caught it on his $10 Spiderman fishing pole which is funny because no one else was having much luck catching any fish...but the 5 year old with the cheap pole brought in a very decent sized fish. Autumn was in the canoe when Jonny caught the fish and while Jonny was ecstatic I guess poor Autumn was traumatized. The fish flipping around scared her pretty bad and she kept yelling for them to put it back! We have to thank Lenny for coming along and making it possible for us to go. He is always easy company and very helpful with the kids (and good at spoiling them). Also it was fun having Carter along too. Brookley was a good sport hanging out with me on the shore line. She is the best baby! The shoreline was crowded (everyone had the same idea as us) but in the middle of the lake it was so peaceful and always rejuvenating to be in the mountains.

Yay for Jonny! He looks so proud of his fish :) Did you end up keeping and eating him? I hope Autumn has recovered from this traumatic event - haha!
