We love our Brookley Ann. She is a sweetheart--very good natured and super cute. She was given a name and a blessing at Church on May 2nd. It was a fun day filled with family and friends. I don't know the exact count but we had about 35 people over to our house after church for lunch. We were cozy and squeezed together but it was fun and I wanted to have a celebration for Brookley. She was so beautiful in her blessing dress that Grandma Thorup made. It was the same dress that Autumn wore on her blessing day. I loved using it again. Her braclet was special because her daddy made it for her. I insisted that we stop by a bead store to get Brookley a braclet to go with her dress. They didn't have any I wanted but suggested that we could make one ourselves. So since Bruce was dragged into the bead store he made the most of it and took over picking out the beads and stringing them together for Brookley. Her cute shoes were from our friend Debbie, her headband was from Aunt Christina. All of us (Daddy, Mommy, Jonny and Autumn) are just smitten by Brookley. She is very, very adored and the center of attention. We pray for a long, healthy life for our little angel baby and hope that she always knows how much we love her (from her parents to her grandparents and everyone inbetween). And on a day like today it is a humbling and awesome reminder that she is very much loved and cherished by her Father is Heaven too.
